How It Works

Ontario LTT
Ontario Land Transfer Tax is payable on every home purchase. First-time buyers receive a rebate of up to $4,000. Toronto's additional municipal LTT does not apply in York or Durham Region.
CMHC Insurance
If your down payment is less than 20%, CMHC mortgage insurance is required (for homes under $1M). Premiums range from 2.80% to 4.00% of the insured amount and are added to your mortgage.
